Fall forward

It’s time to shake off the summer sand and get back into business mode with fall meetings, new client introductions, design team collaborations and tradeshow travels.

This edition of Cover Stories hits on subjects you may encounter along the way: site selection, designing AV spaces with room to grow, and multi-phase design and construction of combined teaching, worship and community spaces.

You’ll also find an interview with Meghan Williams, new executive director of the National Association of Church Design Builders (NACDB). One trend she says will continue, according to the association’s members, “Churches are becoming less insular in their engagement with their communities. They are [building] facilities with the community in mind.”
